Awning Care Tips

Hose down the awning about once a month. You can clean it with a soft bristle brush and sponge using a solution of warm water and mild dish detergent. Do not use stiff brushes, chemical cleaners, or a power washer as these will damage the material and thread
Use a soft household broom to keep the underside of your awning clean
Make sure all shrubbery and vines are kept away from the awning. Many plants contain acids that can damage an awning's fabric
If you keep your awning rolled up, unroll it every so often to make sure there are no unwanted guests using it as a home. Bees, squirrels, and birds can damage your awning
Do not store your awning in a damp area nor in non-breathable plastic bags. Proper air circulation is important for the longevity of the fabric
